Pam Wagner is a graduate of the University of South Florida’s College of Education with
certifications in learning disabilities and behavior disorders. She worked with the Early Steps
program as Florida transitioned into providing early intervention to infants and toddlers in their
natural environment.

During her 31 years as a special education teacher with the School District
of Lee County she served as a classroom teacher and resource teacher for students with
disabilities and later worked in the ESE department as a program specialist and ESE Staffing
Specialist with the Pre-Kindergarten Assessment Team. This role allowed her to work closely
with parents of preschool-aged children with disabilities as well as teachers of Pre-K students
with IEPs. She has served on several early childhood workgroups and steering committees in
Florida.

Pam currently works as the Florida Transition Project Coordinator where she provides
technical support and training to Florida’s 67 school district’s pre-kindergarten disabilities
programs as part of a discretionary project. In her spare time, Pam assists with managing her
spouse’s local business and enjoys activities that support local animal shelters.
