Melinda Pittman – Director

Mrs. Pittman has been a resident of Lee County since 1992. She graduated from the University of South Florida with a bachelor’s degree in special education in1996. She worked with students that have special needs in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade for the Lee County School District. She enjoyed working as a teacher for 10 years before pursuing a master’s degree in communication disorders. Mrs. Pittman has worked at a speech-language pathologist for the past 18 years in both the school setting and on the pre-K assessment team. 

Mrs. Pittman developed an interest in IMPACT while working as part of the assessment team, testing and placing students on the IMPACT campuses. She has also had the privilege of working with the classroom staff to support the needs of the students. Mrs. Pittman is excited to work with other board members and staff to continue to enhance the program and expand throughout Lee County.
